Digital Marketing

Find out which half of your marketing works.

John Wanamaker said half his advertising was wasted. He just didn't know which half. A century later, most marketing reports still can't tell you. We fix the tracking first, then put your budget where it shows up in sales.

Last click gives the brand search all $24,000. The blog post that started it all earns $0, and it's the first thing to get cut. First click hands everything to the blog post. The webinar that won the deal earns nothing. Shared credit shows every step did some of the work. It's the view we report on, next to the others.

01The audit

First, we find out what your numbers are hiding.

Before we spend anything, we check the plumbing. These are the problems we find most often, logged the way our engineers log bugs.

  1. #1 Critical

    Form submissions are counted twice

Google Ads learns from leads that don't exist, and your cost per lead looks half of what it really is.

Found in 14 of our last 20 audits

  2. #2 Critical

The ad account is optimising for page views, not enquiries

Google finds you more people who browse and fewer who buy.

Found in 9 of our last 20 audits

  3. #3 High

The CRM never tells Google which leads became customers

The ads can't tell a $50 lead from a $50,000 one, so they chase the cheap ones.

Found in 16 of our last 20 audits

  4. #4 High

Most paid clicks land on a page that takes over 5 seconds to load on a phone

You pay for the click, then lose the visitor before the page appears.

Found in 12 of our last 20 audits

  5. #5 Medium

Declining cookies makes a visit vanish from the reports

The banner is set up so anyone who says no disappears, instead of being counted without cookies.

Found in 11 of our last 20 audits

  6. #6 Low

Campaign tags spelt three different ways

“LinkedIn”, “linkedin” and “li” show up as three separate channels, each looking smaller than it is.

Found in 17 of our last 20 audits

02We make the fixes

We don't send your developers a to‑do list. We open the pull request.

Most audits end with “improve page speed” and a long wait. Our marketers sit next to engineers, so the fix ships in days, and you see the result in the next report.

Things we fix ourselves

  • Page speed on the pages that take paid traffic
  • Product and review details Google can read
  • Duplicate pages created by filters and tags
  • Server-side tracking that survives ad blockers
  • Landing pages built in days, not sprints

05Growth we can trace

FW FieldwiseE-commerce · Canada · garden supplies

+212% organic revenue in nine months.

Before
Most sales came from paid ads, and costs rose every spring. Organic traffic had been flat for two years.
What we did
Removed duplicate product pages, wrote buying guides for what gardeners actually search, and cut checkout from five steps to two.
After
Organic search became their biggest source of revenue. Ad spend went down while sales went up.
“They fixed the site before they spent a dollar on ads. That's when the numbers started to make sense.”

How soon will we see results?

Clear numbers within two weeks, once tracking is fixed. Paid campaigns usually bring leads in the first month and settle by month three. SEO and content take four to nine months to show in revenue. The audit includes a forecast for each channel.

Do you guarantee rankings or leads?

No. Nobody controls Google's rankings or your market, and guarantees usually mean someone is counting the wrong thing. We agree targets with you, report against them every month, and say plainly when we miss.

Who owns the ad accounts and the data?

You do. Google Ads, Analytics, Search Console, Meta and LinkedIn accounts are in your company's name, and we're invited as users. If you leave, you remove our access and keep all the history.

Do you take a cut of our ad spend?

We never mark up ad spend: you pay Google, Meta and LinkedIn directly. Paid media management is a fee of 12% of spend, with a monthly minimum, shown as its own line on the invoice.

Can you work alongside our in-house team or another agency?

Yes. Often we handle tracking, technical SEO and landing pages while your team owns brand and social. Everyone works from one dashboard, so everyone sees the same numbers.

Is SEO still worth it with AI search?

Yes, but it has changed. Fewer people click through when Google shows an AI summary, so we focus on searches with buying intent, pages specific enough to be cited, and measuring enquiries instead of visits.
