About us
A remote team built around one idea: software should make work calmer.
We're engineers, designers and marketers spread across time zones. We build the tools businesses run on, then stay to make them better.
48 people, 6 time zones, one shared Slack.
01Our story
From two engineers to a team that follows the sun.
We started TheTechOps because we were tired of watching good businesses wrestle with bad software. That's still the job.
“We wanted to build the agency we'd want to hire: honest about time and money, and still answering the phone after launch.”

2016
Two engineers, one client
Founded in Dhaka with a borrowed desk and a logistics company that needed its spreadsheets replaced.
-
2018
Remote, on purpose
Our first clients in the UK and US. We went fully remote and wrote down how we work, which we still use today.
-
2020
From building to growing
Clients kept asking who would market what we built, so we started a digital marketing team.
-
2023
100 products shipped
London and New York hubs opened, giving us working hours across most of the world's day.
-
Today
48 people, still hands-on
Both founders still review code and join client calls. Most of our work comes from clients we've worked with before.
02What we value
Values you can hold us to.
Written as things we do, not words on a wall. If we fall short of one, tell us.
-
01
We say no when it helps you.
We'll talk you out of features that won't serve your users, even when that means a smaller invoice.
-
02
We write it down.
Decisions, demos and risks go in writing, so nobody in any time zone is left guessing.
-
03
We leave it better.
Every codebase, campaign and process we touch should be easier to work with after us than before.
-
04
We stay reachable.
A named person replies within one business day. That doesn't change after launch.
03How we work
Remote-first, and closer than you'd think.
Our hubs overlap with each other and with you, so work moves forward while you sleep and someone's always around when you're awake.
-
A shared Slack channel
Talk to the people doing the work, not an account manager passing messages along.
-
A demo every Friday
Thirty minutes of working software, recorded for anyone who can't attend.
-
Written weekly updates
Progress, budget and risks in plain English, every week.
-
One shared board
See every task, who owns it and where it stands, any time.
On a working day, someone on the team is online for 19 hours. Your own team gets at least four hours of overlap.
04Leadership
The people you'll actually talk to.
No layers of account managers. Our leads stay close to the work and to every client.
-
Rafiq Ahmed
Co-founder and CEO

LinkedIn -
Mehnaz Sultana

Work from anywhere, with people who care.
We hire for curiosity and kindness as much as skill. Fully remote, with a hub desk if you'd like one.
